Navratna oil

Hi!! Today we´re starting the week with quite a different post. I´ve been using this oil for a long time and wanted to share with you this "discovery": an all-natural oil, consisting of a mixture of herbs and plants, with cold effect, and therefore, besides being an excellent hair product, it is ideal for massage, moisturize the skin and reduce signs of tiredness, fatigue, stress ... And it is also very cheap and easy to get!

Hola!!

I found this all-natural oil an excellent ally of cosmetics. Among its ingredients, all natural, includes:

  • amla oil: perhaps you have tried it or heard about it, it´s sold in most Asian and African products stores. It is a natural oil, derived from the extract of amla or Indian gooseberries, which strengthens hair and prevents graying, softens and protects hair, dramatically improves its appearance and reduces frizz.
  • japa pushpa (Hibiscus rosasinensis):  promotes hair growth and removes baldness.
  • bhringaraj (Eclipta alba): controls hair loss and cures alopecia
  • Sailaja (Parmelia peralta): relieves headaches and has a cooling effect
  • kshir Kakoli (Fritillaria roylie): revitalizing herb that calms headache and tension thanks to the cooling effect produced.
  • pudina ka phool (Mentha arvensis): effective natural analgesic, acts on all kinds of pain, especially muscle pains and reduces mental fatigue. It's a great anti-inflammatory.
  • Nagarmotha (Cyperus rotundus): analgesic, anti-inflammatory, relieves headaches, stimulates hair growth, has a cooling effect
  • jequirity (Abrus precatorius): Highly healing and soothing for skin problems and prevents premature hair loss
  • lata kasturi (Hibiscus Abelmoschus): revitalizing cold effect, balances body temperature, widely used in cosmetics for the preparation of creams, soaps, ointments, for its astringent and healing properties, and used in aromatherapy to combat stress, depression, anxiety and nervousness.

As you see, the combination of all these herbs and plants get two main (but not only) benefits:

  • this oil is ideal for hair, as it promotes growth, improves its appearance,  cure alopecia and scalp problems.
  • if you suffer from restless legs or headache or any pain caused by stress and fatigue, this oil acts as cooling gel, which, while lessen swelling, also relax and revitalizes, reducing the sensation of tiredness and fatigue, both physical and mental.

In my case, I use this oil once a week, as a hair mask before washing, and I love the softness and shine that gives to my hair and how it reduces frizz. But I confess that when I first saw this oil, I bought it because I needed a product with a cooling effect because I often suffer from restless leg syndrome and have found that massaging with a cooling gel  is very calming in these situations, but always stops me the fact that all products on the market contain a long list of highly toxic chemicals. In the case of this oil, it is natural and provides the same cooling effect while soothing, anti-inflammatory, moisturizing and calming ... that is, all are advantages!!

I encourage you to search on the Internet and if you wish, try it out and tell me if you get the same good results as I do! I think you will find it in any Indian, Pakistani or Arab food store, here in Valencia it´s really easy to find and its price is around 3 euros.

I wish you a very happy week and see you on Thursday, with a new post of natural cosmetics and health!
